I was recently reading a posting on our American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) website, and found this inspiring posting by the organization former president that I would like to share:

Dr. Alschuler:
"Let yourself imagine living several years in the future; in a time after major transformation has taken place of our healthcare system. The patient is the center of, and, in fact, has the majority of responsibility for, their healthcare. Prevention (lifestyle and screening) dominates healthcare dollars and activities. Integration of multidisciplinary healing modalities and traditions is the norm. These changes in healthcare are supported by well-designed clinical research trials, collaborative training programs of healthcare providers, and a consumer-driven healthcare reimbursement system. This scenario sketches aspects of a sustainable healthcare system."
