Mayo-less Coleslaw
3 cups shredded cabbage 3 scallions, finely sliced ½ cup grated carrot ½ cup chopped basil ½ cup chopped parsley

Directions
Note: when not on detox plan, try Dr. Chris’s not-so-famous Tahini dressing instead of oil and vinegar for a mayo-less but mayo-like alternative.
Dr. Chris's not-so-famous Tahini Dressing 1 cup (8oz.) raw or toasted tahini 2 Tbsp miso paste Juice of 1 lemon 2 tsp soy sauce or wheat-free tamari 2 Tbsp sesame or flax oil 1 tsp toasted sesame oil 1 clove raw garlic 1/4 cup water (add more for thin version or eliminate for thicker version) Stir Tahini if it has separated (this is totally normal). Lightly chop garlic, then place all ingredients in blender or food processor and mix for 30 seconds, or until creamy texture is achieved. For questions, email drchris@naturavitanv.com. Enjoy! |
